This is one of those “obvious if you know it” tips, but something that several users have asked me about when upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013. Where is the print button?

  1. Click the gear in the upper right hand corner by your name
  2. Click “Print Preview”

The Outlook option just prints a very ugly field list. Sure would be nice if there was a print preview option in Outlook like there used to be in 2011.

Has anyone found a way around the lack of print functionality via Outlook? It’s fine via the web version but via Outlook looks awful.

  3. Are we still unable to print the same view in Outlook as you can in the web version of crm?

No change, but if you need to regularly print CRM record forms, I recommend that you invest in a copy of Snaggit. That’s what we use for screenshots in the blog and our books, and it can screenshot an entire form

I have resorted to Mail Merge to get reports out of CRM

When using the print entity function (gear in upper right corner of CRM), only the entity fields print. Any quick view fields will not print.

I have solved the Account view printing problem with Word templates in CRM 2016.

Just created a template that contains all fields from the Account view and it is easily printable from Word + I can decide how it looks like.

Can we change the template of printing or have the print preview option as a ribbon button?
